    The LA Career Intensive

The L.A. Intensive gives students with a focus in the field of entertainment--including television and film—a chance to meet alumni and industry professionals through site visits, meetings, panel discussions, and social events.

    Absolute eye opening experience.

I think my expectations have been far exceeded.

AU has such a connection out here in LA, and they're all friends.

It's been really nice being able to make connections I wouldn't otherwise be able to have.

When I was coming up, and what you guys have an advantage of, is that you shoot digitally.

Ownership of content has become the most important issue.

I've been so blown away by how willing these people have been to spend time with us.

Take risks and take chances, and not everyone has the same path and that's okay.

That's great to have all those interests but narrow it down because that helps people find the position.

We saw director, PA, writer, associate director, actors, cameraman.

[INAUDIBLE] and started sending me out on a national initiative.

I think it's connecting with people we're trying to find that connection

So that was really cool to be able to see a side of filming that I've learned about in the classroom but not actually have been able to see.

You really kind of get the no holds bar you know, these are the hurdles you will run into, and here's how you get over them.

Don't just throw a bunch of pasta at the wall to see what sticks-- like a mass amounts of stuff.

The single hardest thing is actually finding an audience to get to go see [INAUDIBLE].

You're allowed to develop-- You're allowed to screen something and say I'm gonna run towards that.

I've really gotten over an anxiety about networking being here, when everyone's very chill very much like oh, this is just a conversation. It's given me a lot more confidence.

I think that LA is where I want to be. And that this intensive has proven that to me right now.
